We never had a running game and this is probably why we could never stop the run. We did not practice against it. Hopefully the next coach will be the total coaching package.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6818029211055708741.post-28711216495034309142009-12-01T12:47:35.954-05:002009-12-01T12:47:35.954-05:00Good Riddance! I'm tired of washing away the L's in tears and "at least we win at life" cheering, it is time for ND to take her rightful place on the throne!Deeskinihttp://www.twitter.com/deeskininoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6818029211055708741.post-59439454224852589482009-11-30T20:01:22.137-05:002009-11-30T20:01:22.137-05:00Parting will be such sweet sorrow...for someone el...Parting will be such sweet sorrow...for someone else. I guess I still harbor some ill-will for the manner in which the previous coach was 'released,' as not all university officials were on board with the method. That being said, I know that any change usually takes 3-5 before you see results. Charlie has had his 5 years (and a whole lot of alumni and benefactor money), since the program has not grown in yerms of victories, it is time for both parties to go their separate ways. I am confident that he and his family will land on their feet, as the parting gift is more than sufficient to sustain the lifestyle to which they have grown accustomed. Lastly, I think the merits of the previous coach (who only served 3 years) should be reserved for another blog, as this is strictly about Charlie.

MoniseEducationCEOhttp://twitter.com/EducationCEOnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6818029211055708741.post-43403233968482717292009-11-30T19:57:54.399-05:002009-11-30T19:57:54.399-05:00ND to any and every coach....here is the bar, do y...ND to any and every coach....here is the bar, do you think you can exceed it? I'm glad to see that the bar hasn't moved despite the series of less than spectacular seasons. Heck, that's what makes Notre Dame the BEST university in the world (not to sound bias). Notre Dame challenges you...from the student-athlete to the student-rooting for the athlete. We are expected to exceed what is placed before us and my friend, that's what makes us stronger. ND worked the h*ll out of me and I'm better for it. Look at me now!!! As Swarbrick notes, Charlie understands. As do I. If there's any disappointment here, it's in the fact that the University is not communicating who our options are at this point and we're left to speculate for the time being. I think we can do better than.TanyaW97noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6818029211055708741.post-25242321109869171012009-11-30T19:08:19.306-05:002009-11-30T19:08:19.306-05:00One positive note about Weis: He maintained our s...One positive note about Weis: He maintained our standard of being #1 in graduation rate of our players...other than that, good riddance. I want to win! And want to win NOW!! It is really sad to see how the program has slipped down the tubes since Lou left. We need a college football coach who knows how to win consistently! Leave Bob Stoops at Oklahoma! Let's get someone like Brian Kelly who has taken a non-football program and made them eligible for the BCS! At least we are headline news! :)EmDeeSteelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17715380875403923789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6818029211055708741.post-34091786613927139232009-11-30T18:57:23.973-05:002009-11-30T18:57:23.973-05:00What better way to start the bowl season than with...What better way to start the bowl season than with a little excitement. Always liked Charlie, even with his bad attitude. He worked his ass off, was never afraid to make big changes and proved ND could recruit with the best of them. But I can't lie to myself any longer...dude just couldn't get the w's. As a fan and alum, NOT a black fan and alum, I still think he was a better coach than T Willie and Davies.BenFinnoreply@blogger.com
